  • Amendments can be made on a permit provided that the expiry date of the current permit is greater than 2 weeks away.

Apply here to obtain a copy of building permits and plans for a residential property.

Please note:

  • Depending on legislative requirements at the time of development, information in each file will vary.
  • Documents commonly found in the building file include building permits and certificates, site and floor plans, and soil tests.
  • File contents for individual properties are unable to be guaranteed.
  • Records are held for most properties constructed in the Wodonga municipality.
  • Where the applicant is not the property owner, written authority must be provided by the property owner or agent authorising the information to be provided to the applicant.
  • Information will be provided via email in 10 business days from receipt of request.
  • Additional fees may apply depending on amount of documents requested.

    Request to add overseas vaccination history to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR)

    Request to add overseas vaccination history to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR)


    Clients of all ages who have received vaccination overseas and need this information added to the AIR (Australian Immunisation Register), may apply to have Wodonga Council do this on their behalf.

    You will need to have a copy of the clients overseas vaccination history record (in English) available to upload. If the record is not in English, you will need to upload a translated copy as well as the original.


    A $40 fee is applicable per application.

    WODONGA COUNCIL ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE RECORDS FOR THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES;

    • Vaccinations given by doctors or other providers. Please contact the initial provider.

    • Vaccinations administered at a NSW school. Please contact The Murrumbidgee local health district on 02 6080 8900.

    • Vaccinations administered more than 25 years ago.

    Wodonga Councils immunisation team can provide vaccination records for individuals 18 years and over, or for a dependent child aged under 18 years that have been vaccinated in the following areas: through a Wodonga Council immunisation service including vaccinations given at school.
    These areas include;
    • Wodonga
    • Indigo Shire
    • Benalla Council
    • Towong Shire
    • Strathbogie Shire
    • Murrindindi Shire

    A $20 fee is applicable per application.

    Bonegilla Migrant Exp - The Arc memorial sculpture

    The Arc memorial sculpture


    Former residents and their families are invited to purchase a plaque which can be mounted onto our memorial sculpture, The Arc (previously known as the Tribute Wall).
    The Arc honours the journey of all migrants who came through the Bonegilla Migrant Reception and Training Centre.
    This is a wonderful way to remember the journey taken by friends and family.

    If you would like to add your family name to it, please complete the online form below.
    For $243 you can have the family name and place of origin engraved on a plaque and included in the sculpture. A certificate showing the plaque on the sculpture will be issued to the requesting person.

    Personal information request - Building and Fences

    Application for personal information: Building work notice or Fencing Information

  • The Fences Act 1968

    The Fences Act 1968 provides that any person desiring to compel any other person to construct or contribute to the construction of a dividing fence may serve a notice to fence on the other person. This may require the use of personal property information to serve the notice. To enable the council to provide this information, a written request must be made and must indicate the address, if known, of the neighbouring property or properties. If the request is by a fencing contractor, the contractor must provide written evidence that they are authorised to act on behalf of the property owner.



  • The Building Act 1993 (Part 7, Section 84)

    The Building Act 1993 (Part 7, Section 84) determines that an owner who is required by the building regulations to carry out protection work in respect of an adjoining property before or during the carrying out of building work for which a building permit is required, before commencing the building work, serve on the owner of the adjoining property and the relevant building surveyor notice of the proposed building work.

  • Siting Dispensation (Building Regulations 2006)

    Property owners may seek a dispensation(s) via a report and consent for proposed building work that is a variance from the requirements of the Building Regulations 2006 (e.g. a building is closer to a front boundary than allowed under the Regulations). When this occurs comments must be sought from the adjacent property owner(s) in relation to the siting dispensation(s). This may require the use of personal property information to seek the comment.

  • Personal Information Request -Wodonga Council believes that the responsible handling of personal information and health information is a key aspect of democratic governance, and is strongly committed to protecting an individual’s right to privacy. Accordingly, the council is committed to full compliance with its obligations under the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic) and Health Records Act 2001.
